my two days are over
I finished the up until the outro scene. No one should ever try and attempt what I did... sleep and eating are important. Also important before job interviews. I feel like death right now.
I hope the 19th I can finish the rest... or I'm thinking of camping outside the oxberry room this week and asking how long people are using it for.
I still think it's unreasonable that it's booked for a month and a half. But I am cranky right now so the world is not working with me.

Compositing Frenzy
So I'm well into my 4th scene to composite... still haven't started roto-ing but here's my estimate on time:
SHOOTING
2-3 hours per shot
6 shots left
12-18 hours left under the oxberry.
COMPOSITING
2 hours per shot
12 hours left COMPOSITING
ROTO
3 hours per shot
10 shots left
30 hours left to ROTO
EYES
3 scenes
1 hour each
3 hours to COMPOSITE EYES
ANIMATING CHARACTERS
10 scenes
3 hours each
30 hours for this
TOTAL HOURS LEFT: 93... but i'll round it up to 100 HOURS!!!!
BYE SLEEP. BYE LIFE.
so lets see... i have 20 days til picture lock. that's 5 hours a day at least. i will bump that up to 8 hours a day during spring break.

Music + paint
I've been shooting more paint... I also resized my entire stop motion to fit the 1280 x 720 size. While doing this I color corrected and finalized the first section... taking out rigs etc. I made an X sheet for the music and I'm timing my compositions to it... it's been very helpful so far. Painting is going well... I need to pick up speed to finish on time. I realize how much roto I need to get done and actually start on.
I'll post something before next week!
